East Asian Architectural History: Reflections on the State of the Field in China and Japan

Bringing together perspectives from China and Japan, Professors Nancy Steinhardt and Shigeatsu Shimizu consider the state of the field and current challenges to both the broader field of East Asian architectural history, as well as their respective fields of Chinese and Japanese architecture. Following their presentations, Bryce Heatherly will give a brief commentary and moderate the discussion session.
